Fortress Ladies send three players on season-long loan to Ibom Angels

Fortress Ladies Football Club have confirmed that three of their players have completed one-season loan moves to Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership side Ibom Angels FC.

The players are attacker Enodumwenben Favour and defenders Grace Ufot Saturday and Osaherumwen Erhinmwingbovo.

In a statement announcing the transfers, Fortress Ladies described the moves as an important step in their commitment to providing their players with development opportunities and exposure at the highest level of women's football in Nigeria.

Favour joins Ibom Angels after an impressive campaign in which she won the prestigious Apex Finisher of the Year Award at the recently concluded NWFL Championship.

The club highlighted her goalscoring ability and work rate, expressing confidence that she would be a valuable addition to the Akwa Ibom-based side.

Defenders Grace and Osaherumwen were also praised for their growth, discipline and leadership in the backline.

The trio have previously attracted attention at national youth level. Grace received a call-up to the Nigeria U-17 team last year, while Favour and Osaherumwen earned national U-17 invitations this year.

Fortress Ladies emphasised that although the players will represent Ibom Angels for the coming season, they remain contracted to the club, which will continue to monitor their progress.

The management, technical crew and players of Fortress Ladies wished the trio success in their new challenge, urging them to make the most of the opportunity.

The club also expressed appreciation to the management of Ibom Angels for their professionalism throughout the transfer process.
