The Chairman of the Independent Media and Policy Initiative (IMPI), Dr. Niyi Akinsiju, has been honoured by the Coalition of Northern Youth Forum of Nigeria, one of the most influential youth groups in Northern Nigeria, for his outstanding contributions to nation-building.

At a brief but symbolic ceremony held in Abuja, the group conferred on him the title of “Jakadan Zaman Lafiya Najeriya” (Ambassador of Peace in Nigeria) alongside a distinguished award of recognition.

Speaking at the presentation, the Chairman of the Coalition, Comrade Iliya Danladi, said Dr. Akinsiju was carefully nominated for the honour due to his resilience in promoting patriotism and nationalism through his work. He noted that Akinsiju’s consistency in addressing socio-economic and political issues with passion and clarity has made him a role model for Nigerian youth, drawing from his early days as a youth leader during his university years.

In his acceptance remarks, Dr. Akinsiju commended the Coalition for its continuous efforts in empowering young people across Northern Nigeria.

He highlighted some of the impactful projects the forum has executed in recent years and pledged to uphold the values of peace, unity, and responsibility associated with the title bestowed on him.
