Ikenne awaits new NNL kings with 10 million Naira at stake
The race for the 2026 Nigeria National League Super Four title will reach a dramatic conclusion on Friday as the final round of matches kicks off simultaneously at 4pm in Ikenne.
League organisers confirmed the adjustment from the earlier announced 3pm kickoff time, stressing that both fixtures will hold at the same time in line with global football standards aimed at preventing manipulation of results on the final day.
A league official called on supporters to troop out and witness what promises to be an explosive football spectacle.
“I crave the indulgence of fans to come out in numbers and enjoy top-class football artistry. This is what you get in an ideal league, and it aligns with the best international standards.”
With a whopping ₦10 million prize money and the Super Four trophy still up for grabs, the title race remains delicately poised between Sporting Lagos, Doma United and Inter Lagos heading into the last round of fixtures.
Ranchers Bees, however, have already fallen out of contention after back to back defeats in their opening two games.
The final fixtures will see Doma United battle Ranchers Bees, while table-toppers Sporting Lagos face a potentially decisive showdown against Inter Lagos.
Friday’s finale is also expected to deliver entertainment beyond football, as controversial Afrobeats sensation Portable is billed to perform live at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.
Fans attending the event will also have a chance to smile home richer, with Portable set to host a raffle draw where two lucky supporters will win ₦500,000 each. Organisers further announced that the first 200 fans through the gates will receive ₦5,000 each as part of the matchday festivities.
