Moses Bako hails PROFEMATEUR 7 kick off

 

The LOC Chairman of the 10th Edition of PROFEMATEUR 7, foremost women football advocate Hon Moses Nagogo Bako has described the kick off as a great event worthy of a 10th anniversary. "This milestone edition promises to be one of the most memorable yet, with organizers ensuring a top-notch atmosphere for players to display their talents," he said.

 

Hon Bako praised the participating teams for their commitment and dedication to the sport, saying "the level of competition is expected to be high, and we are confident that the best team will emerge victorious."

 

The 10th edition of the PROFEMATEUR 7 National Women’s Football Competition kicked off in grand style on Sunday, October 26, 2025, with Judith Chime Queens edging Onosky Angels 1-0 in the opening fixture. Owoyele Idera scored the lone goal for the Chime Queens.

 

Other matches on the opening day produced one more win and two goalless draws, including Joy Etim Queens 0-0 Henrietta Ukaigwe Queens, Kolawole Queens 1-0 Ann Chinyere Angels, and Sewa Bello Queens 0-0 Linda Chukwuji Queens.

 

Hon Bako commended Royaltoms International Football Academy, for their efforts in promoting women's football in Nigeria. He also urged all lovers of women football to support this initiative.
