NPFL: Doma United appoint Deji Ayeni as head coach
Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) newcomers Doma United have announced the appointment of experienced coach Deji Ayeni as their new Technical Adviser on a two-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Savannah Tigers confirmed the appointment as part of their preparations for life in the top flight following their successful promotion to the NPFL.
Ayeni joins the club with a strong pedigree in Nigerian football, having previously managed notable sides such as Sunshine Stars, Akwa United, and Enyimba. His vast experience in the domestic game and reputation for tactical discipline are expected to bolster Doma United's quest to make a strong impression in their maiden NPFL campaign.
Club management expressed confidence in the appointment, describing Ayeni as the ideal candidate to lead the team into a new era and build a competitive squad capable of competing with the country's top clubs.
The former Enyimba coach will immediately begin work on the club's pre-season programme as he prepares the Savannah Tigers for the challenges of life in the Nigerian top flight.
