NRS Launches Rev360 Digital Platform to Boost Tax Compliance, Track Tax Evaders
The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has unveiled Rev360, a next-generation digital tax administration platform designed to modernise tax collection, improve taxpayer experience, and strengthen efforts to identify and track tax evaders across the country.
The platform, launched in Abuja on Thursday, is expected to transform the nation's tax administration system by providing a more integrated, intelligent, and taxpayer-focused digital environment for tax registration, filing, payment, and compliance management.
Speaking at the unveiling, Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Dr. Zacch Adedeji, described Rev360 as a major milestone in the Service's transition to Tax Administration 3.0, aimed at enhancing efficiency, transparency, and service delivery.
According to him, the platform will simplify interactions between taxpayers and the tax authority while strengthening compliance monitoring and revenue collection.
“The launch reinforces the Nigeria Revenue Service’s commitment to innovation, digital transformation, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement as we advance our vision of building a modern revenue administration system that is efficient, transparent, data-driven, and responsive to the needs of taxpayers and the Nigerian economy,” Adedeji said.
Also speaking, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, noted that technology-driven tax administration systems have become critical tools for economic growth and fiscal sustainability around the world.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary (Special Duties) in the ministry, Mr. Mohammed Sanusi, the minister commended the NRS for embracing innovation and institutional reforms.
He stated that platforms such as Rev360 would enhance transparency, improve the ease of doing business, boost investor confidence, and support the Federal Government’s broader economic reform agenda.
Oyedele assured that the ministry would continue to provide the necessary support to ensure the successful implementation and adoption of the platform nationwide.
Highlighting the benefits for taxpayers, the Executive Director of the Medium and Emerging Taxpayers Group, Mrs. Bolaji Akintola, explained that Rev360 represents the first phase of a wider digital transformation programme focused on improving taxpayer engagement and service delivery.
She said the platform has been designed to streamline taxpayer onboarding, tax filing, payment processing, compliance management, and customer support services while offering users greater convenience, visibility, and confidence in meeting their tax obligations.
On the technology behind the initiative, Executive Director (Technology), Mr. Iniabasi Akpkan, said Rev360 provides the foundation for a scalable and efficient tax administration system capable of supporting the Service’s long-term objectives.
“The technology platform makes it easier for taxpayers to pay their taxes. It is faster, more convenient, and accessible from anywhere. This will naturally encourage voluntary compliance because taxpayers can fulfil their obligations from the comfort of their homes or offices,” he said.
With the launch of Rev360, the NRS hopes to improve compliance levels, reduce tax leakages, strengthen revenue generation, and create a more seamless digital experience for millions of Nigerian taxpayers.
