Nigeria draw Cote D'Ivoire, Korea, Egypt in Beach Volleyball Championship

Nigeria have been drawn in Group D alongside Cote d’Ivoire, Korea and Egypt for the upcoming beach volleyball championship scheduled to take place in Saly Portudal, Senegal, from October 31 to November 4, 2026.

The competition will feature 13 African nations competing on Saly’s West Beach, with participating teams seeking to establish themselves among the continent’s leading beach volleyball sides.

Nigeria face a challenging group-stage campaign against familiar African opponents Cote d’Ivoire and Egypt, alongside Korea, as they aim to make a strong impression at the championship.

The tournament is expected to deliver an exciting display of beach volleyball, with teams battling for honours in the Senegalese coastal city and seeking to progress to the next stage.

With the competition approaching, Nigeria will be looking to intensify preparations, build team cohesion and develop the tactical approach required to navigate their group assignments successfully.

The national team will hope to translate its preparations into strong performances and secure progression beyond the group stage when the championship serves off on October 31.
