Northern Amateur Women's Football Association, NAWFA condoles with UYPG coach

 

 

The Northern Amateur Women Football Association has expressed deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences to Coach Mark of Utes Young Professional Girls Football Club (UYPG) following the tragic loss of his son.

 

The sad news has sent shockwaves across the women’s football community in Northern Nigeria, with stakeholders, players, and administrators rallying around the bereaved coach in this difficult time.

Speaking on the incident, Hon. Segun Akeusola, Special Assistant on Sports to the Karu Local Government Chairman, conveyed the association’s sympathy on behalf of the NAWFA President, Moses Nagogo Bako.

 

“It is with a heavy heart that we received the news of this painful loss,” Akeusola said. “On behalf of the President of NAWFA, Moses Nagogo Bako, and the entire association, we extend our deepest condolences to Coach Mark, his family, and the entire UYPG family. We pray that God grants them the strength to bear this irreparable loss.”

 

He further described the late child’s passing as a tragic moment not just for the family, but for the wider football community that stands united in grief and support.

Coach Mark, who leads Utes Young Professional Girls FC in Makurdi, has been recognized for his dedication to grassroots women’s football development in Benue State, making the loss even more deeply felt among colleagues and players.

 

The NAWFA reiterated its solidarity with the coach and assured him of the association’s support during this period of mourning.
