Taiwo Awoniyi earns merit in Global Football Sports Directorship
Nigeria striker Taiwo Awoniyi has added another academic achievement to his football career after graduating from the PFA Business School with a Postgraduate Diploma in Global Football Sport Directorship with Merit.
The Coventry City forward announced the achievement in a social media post, describing it as another proud moment away from the football pitch.
“Graduating from the PFA Business School with a Postgraduate Diploma in Global Football Sport Directorship with Merit,” Awoniyi wrote.
The 28-year-old said his football career has never prevented him from pursuing education, stressing that learning remains an important part of his personal and professional development.
Awoniyi expressed appreciation to the PFA Business School, its lecturers and fellow students with whom he shared the academic journey.
“I have always believed that being a footballer shouldn’t stop you from being a student of the game and education has become an important part of that journey for me,” he said.
“Thank you to everyone at the PFA Business School, the lecturers and my colleagues I had the opportunity to learn alongside,” the Nigeria international added.
The striker also acknowledged the support of his family and friends, crediting them for their encouragement throughout the programme.
“And a special thank you to my family and friends for their encouragement and support throughout,” Awoniyi said.
Concluding his message, Awoniyi made it clear that his academic achievement represents another chapter in a journey that continues alongside his professional football career.
“Still playing. Still learning. The journey continues,” the Super Eagles forward stated.
