OFFICIAL: Ebenezer Akinsanmiro joins AC Monza on loan from Inter Milan

Italian Serie A newcomers AC Monza have officially confirmed the signing of Super Eagles midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro from Inter Milan on an initial season-long loan, with an obligation to make the move permanent if certain conditions are met.

The announcement was made on the club's official website as Monza continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026/27 Serie A campaign.

The 21-year-old Nigerian midfielder arrives with growing experience in Italian football and is widely regarded as one of the country's brightest young talents.

A product of Remo Stars in Nigeria, Akinsanmiro first caught the attention of European scouts while representing the Alex Transfiguration Academy at the prestigious Viareggio Tournament in Italy in 2022. His impressive performances earned him a move to Inter Milan, where he officially joined the Nerazzurri in January 2023.

He initially featured for Inter's Primavera side before progressing to the senior team, making his Serie A debut on February 25, 2024, in a league fixture against Lecce. Akinsanmiro was also part of the Inter squad that won the Serie A title during the 2023/24 season.

To accelerate his development, the Nigerian spent time on loan with Sampdoria and Pisa, gaining valuable first-team experience.

During his spell at Sampdoria, he made 38 appearances across Serie B and the Coppa Italia, while last season he featured 25 times for Pisa in Serie A and the Coppa Italia, further establishing himself as a composed and technically gifted midfielder.

The move to Monza offers Akinsanmiro another significant opportunity to secure regular top-flight football as the ambitious club prepares for life in Serie A.

For the Nigerian youngster, it also represents another important step in his development as he looks to establish himself among Italy's emerging midfield talents and strengthen his credentials for a regular place in the Super Eagles squad.
