RB Leipzig weigh loan exit for Ayodele Thomas
RB Leipzig are reportedly considering sending Nigerian born winger Ayodele Thomas out on loan, just six months after signing the highly rated teenager from PSV Eindhoven.
The German Bundesliga club is believed to be open to loan proposals for the 19 year old as they seek to provide him with regular first-team football and accelerate his development.
According to Sky Sports Deutschland, Leipzig are prepared to listen to offers for Thomas, who has yet to make his senior debut for the club despite training regularly with the first-team squad.
Thomas joined Leipzig during the final stages of the 2026 winter transfer window after the club agreed a deal with PSV.
Leipzig paid an initial transfer fee, with the overall package potentially rising to several hundred thousand euros.
The youngster is reportedly not interested in leaving Leipzig permanently and remains committed to his long-term future with the Bundesliga outfit.
However, he would consider a loan move if a suitable opportunity that guarantees significant playing time emerges.
Thomas previously spent time in the Feyenoord academy before joining PSV, where he developed into one of the club's promising young attackers. PSV were reportedly keen to retain his services, but the winger opted for a move to Leipzig as his contract in Eindhoven approached its expiration.
Since arriving in Germany, Thomas has continued to train with Leipzig's senior squad, giving him valuable exposure to first-team football despite being unable to secure a competitive appearance.
A loan spell could now provide the teenager with the opportunity to gain valuable senior experience, play consistently and continue his development away from the intense competition for places at Leipzig.
However, it remains unclear whether any club has submitted a concrete proposal for the winger. No potential destination has yet been identified, and there is currently no indication that an agreement is close.
For now, Thomas remains a Leipzig player and continues to work with the first team, with his immediate future likely to depend on whether an attractive loan offer arrives before the transfer window closes.
