The Sports Journalists Forum (SJF) has congratulated Dr. Nneka Anibeze on her appointment as the Chief Operating Officer of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN).

SJF Lead Administrator, Godwin Enakhena, in a statement on Wednesday, described the appointment as well-deserved, noting that journalists have historically excelled in sports administration.

"From club chairmen to league and association executives, journalists have consistently proven their competence in sports management," Enakhena said.

 "Dr. Anibeze has demonstrated excellence in various government roles, and we are confident she will bring that same energy and commitment to the AFN."

He added that the forum has full trust in her administrative capabilities and believes she will steer the federation successfully.

Dr. Anibeze currently serves as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Barr. Hannatu Musawa.
