Saudi clubs close in on Stanley Nwabali
Nigeria international goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is on the verge of sealing a move to Saudi Arabia, with discussions advancing positively as he edges closer to finding a new club.
The Super Eagles goalkeeper has been without a club since leaving South African side Chippa United earlier this year. However, his status as a free agent has done little to diminish interest in his services, following a string of impressive performances for both club and country.
Although several clubs from different leagues have monitored the 29-year-old's situation, sources suggest that Saudi Arabia has now emerged as the most likely destination for the highly rated shot stopper.
Nwabali has strengthened his reputation with a series of commanding displays for Nigeria, establishing himself as one of the Super Eagles' first choice goalkeepers and attracting growing attention in the transfer market.
While no official agreement has been confirmed, negotiations are understood to be progressing well, with a move to the Saudi Pro League expected to be completed in the coming weeks if the ongoing talks reach a successful conclusion.
