Transfer buzz grows as Ayomide Wahab returns to training after injury scare
Interest is beginning to build around rising Nigerian forward Ayomide Wahab following his swift return to training after a minor injury setback in Turkey.
The Ibadan born striker was forced off during an Under-19 clash involving Igdir F.K against Erzurumspor FK last week, sparking concerns among fans and teammates.
However, those fears have quickly eased, with the young forward already back on the pitch, albeit lightly.
“I have resumed training, everything is looking good, and I can’t wait to return to action,” Wahab revealed, confirming his recovery is progressing faster than expected after being advised to rest for a few days by medical staff.
His brief absence was felt immediately, as Igdir F.K slipped to a 2-1 defeat in the same fixture a result that underlined his growing importance to the side.
Despite the injury scare, Wahab’s stock continues to rise. The prolific youngster has been in red hot form, registering eight goals and two assists in just four matches this year a run that has caught the attention of multiple clubs monitoring his situation.
His representative, Canada based football administrator Runo Awenode, confirmed that offers are already being reviewed, hinting that a potential move could be on the horizon.
With fitness returning and interest mounting, Wahab now finds himself at a crucial point balancing recovery with the possibility of a major career step.
