The Super Eagles striker was the driving force behind the league leaders’ emphatic display, earning the Man of the Match award after a performance that combined goals, assists and relentless attacking presence. Osimhen’s milestone strike takes his career tally to 200 goals 165 at club level and 35 for Nigeria.
Galatasaray wasted no time asserting their authority, taking the lead in the seventh minute when Kayserispor defender Aaron Opoku inadvertently diverted a dangerous cross into his own net. The pressure continued, and Osimhen made it 2–0 in the 26th minute, confidently converting a penalty he won himself after being fouled in the box.
After the interval, Osimhen remained at the heart of every attacking move. In the 60th minute, he spearheaded a rapid counterattack before supplying the final pass for Gabriel Sara, who finished clinically to extend the advantage to three goals. Galatasaray later sealed the rout when Mauro Icardi calmly dispatched another penalty.
The Nigerian forward featured for 82 minutes and capped his display with impressive numbers an 88 percent pass completion rate, two chances created, seven shots on target, and a goal plus an assist to his name.
Osimhen has now registered 14 goals in 20 appearances across all competitions this season, underlining his continued importance to Galatasaray’s title push.
The victory keeps Galatasaray firmly at the top of the Super Lig table with 49 points, six ahead of closest challengers Fenerbahce. Kayserispor, on the other hand, remain 17th and deep in a relegation battle.
