Victor Osimhen delivered a match winning performance on Monday, scoring twice to inspire Galatasaray to a 2-1 victory over fierce rivals Fenerbahce in the Istanbul derby.

The Nigeria international struck in the 29th minute to put Galatasaray ahead before doubling the advantage in the 44th minute, giving the hosts a comfortable lead heading into the half time break.

Fenerbahce returned with renewed determination after the interval and reduced the deficit through Kahveci in the 62nd minute, setting up a tense finish as the visitors searched for an equaliser.

However, Galatasaray held firm despite the late pressure to secure all three points, with Osimhen’s first half brace proving decisive in the fiercely contested encounter.
