Bendel Insurance appoints Kennedy Boboye as new technical manager
Bendel Insurance Football Club has announced the appointment of Coach Kennedy Boboye as the club’s new technical manager.
The decision follows a mutual agreement between the club’s management and the former Plateau United boss, who will take full charge of the team’s technical department with immediate effect.
After a comprehensive evaluation process, the management found Boboye suitable for the role and offered him a two-year contract, citing his impressive credentials, proven track record, and wealth of experience in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Delta-born tactician will be officially unveiled in Benin City on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
In a statement, the club expressed optimism that Boboye’s appointment will mark the beginning of a new era of improved performance and renewed confidence within the squad as the ongoing NPFL season progresses.
Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, extended appreciation to Coach Baldwin Bazuaye (MON), an Executive Director in the Commission, for stepping in as Interim Technical Manager following the suspension of Head Coach Greg Ikhenoba on Monday, October 6, 2025.
