Premier League club Brentford have rewarded Nigerian defender Benjamin Fredrick with a new long-term contract and a promotion to the senior squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The Bees confirmed on their official website that the 21-year-old centre-back has signed a four-year extension, with the club retaining the option to extend the agreement by a further 12 months.

Fredrick has already joined new head coach Keith Andrews' first-team group for pre-season as he prepares to compete for a place in Brentford's Premier League squad.

The promotion caps an impressive rise for the Nigerian, who has steadily progressed through the club's development system since arriving in West London.

To aid his development, Brentford sent the young defender on loan to Belgian side FCV Dender for the 2025/26 campaign, where he gained valuable first-team experience.

Now fully fit, the former Flying Eagles star returns with renewed ambition as he seeks to establish himself in Brentford's first-team plans and force his way back into Nigeria's senior squad.
