CNS/ Nowa Youth Football Championships: Goals spree experienced as Kaduna, Ondo, Kebbi shine on Matchday two in Kaduna
Matchday Two of the ongoing Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) U-14 Boys and Naval Officers’ Wives Association (NOWA) U-17 Girls Football Championships produced thrilling results across the pitches of the Nigeria Police College in Kaduna on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
In the CNS U-14 Boys category, hosts Kaduna State delivered the biggest statement of the day with a dominant 8–0 victory over Plateau, while Kebbi edged Zamfara 2–1 in a keenly contested encounter. Kogi secured a narrow 1–0 win over Kano, and Bayelsa came from behind to defeat Nasarawa 2–1.
Elsewhere, Kwara continued their impressive form with a 3–0 win against Oyo, Bauchi edged Ondo 1–0, and Niger overcame Nigeria Army by the same scoreline.
In the NOWA U-17 Girls competition, Ondo State recorded the largest win of the day, thrashing the Nigeria Army 5–0 in a one-sided affair.
With the group stages heating up, teams will return to action on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, with the following fixtures scheduled at the Nigeria Police College, Kaduna:
