London named as host of maiden FIFA Women's Champions Cup Finals

The FIFA Council has confirmed that London will stage the final phase of the inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup in early 2026.

The competition’s concluding stage will feature four matches between January 28 and February 1, 2026, including semifinals, a third-place playoff, and the final.

The tournament kicks off next week:

October 8 – AFC Champions Wuhan (China) 🆚 Auckland (New Zealand)

Wuhan enter hoping to rebound from a poor end to their domestic season, while Auckland tune up with a friendly against Shanghai.

The winner of that tie will meet the CAF Women’s Champions League winner in the second round (December, date TBC).
