Nigeria Taekwondo Federation boss urges prayers for nation amid fasting period
President of Nigeria Taekwondo Federation, Grand Master Tayo Popoola, has urged Nigerians to embrace the ongoing Ramadan and Lent fasting periods as an opportunity to pray fervently for the country’s peace, unity, and socio economic growth.
Popoola, in a message conveyed through the NTF Media, appealed to millions of Christian and Muslim faithful across Nigeria and beyond to seek divine intervention with strong faith and expectation.
She emphasised that fasting and prayer remain powerful spiritual exercises capable of transforming individuals and the nation at large.
"As we all go through the fasting and praying period, a time for us to be in sober reflection and selflessness amongst the people to graciously show love, kindness and display true peace and unity, in line with the faith".
The Taekwondo Federation President further stressed that the sacred period presents a rare opportunity for both spiritual renewal and national rebirth, urging Nigerians to channel their prayers toward the progress of the country.
"I want to charge Nigerians to also use the period to pray for peace, unity and the continued growth of the socio-economic life of Nigeria."
Popoola also encouraged citizens to demonstrate compassion, love, and unity throughout the fasting season, noting that such virtues are essential in building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
