The Nigeria U19 Women’s Basketball Team will learn their group opponents for the 2025 FIBA World Cup on February 4, 2025, during the official draw ceremony.

The draw will take place in Brno, Czechia, and will be conducted by former national team stars Ivana Becerova and Eva Viteckova. Fans can follow the event live via the official tournament website and YouTube channels.

The 16 teams participating in the competition have been divided into four pots based on their strength and current FIBA World Rankings. Nigeria finds itself in Pot 4 alongside Hungary, Argentina, and Brazil.

Pot 1 features powerhouse teams such as the Czech Republic, USA, France, and Canada. Pot 2 includes Australia, China, Spain, and Israel, while Pot 3 comprises Mali, Portugal, Japan, and South Korea.

Nigeria will not face any team from Pot 4 in the group stage but will be drawn against three teams from the other pots. The draw promises to set the stage for an exciting competition ahead for the Nigerian squad.
