Saudi millions beckon aa Paul Onuachu's value soars, Galatasaray push for Rafael Onyedika deal
Turkish side Trabzonspor have reportedly slapped a €15 million price tag on Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu following increasing interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League ahead of the summer transfer window.
The towering Super Eagles forward has enjoyed a sensational campaign in Turkey, scoring 22 goals and providing two assists during his second spell with Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
His impressive performances have established him among the league’s most dangerous attackers and attracted attention from clubs across Europe and the Middle East.
Saudi Arabian giants Al-Ahli Saudi FC are believed to be among the clubs closely monitoring the 31 year old, especially amid uncertainty surrounding the future of Ivan Toney.
Reports from Turkey suggest Trabzonspor are keen to keep hold of Onuachu, who still has two years remaining on his current contract. However, the club may be willing to negotiate should offers around €15 million arrive a major profit on the €5.7 million they paid to complete his permanent signing.
Saudi clubs are also reportedly preparing a lucrative financial package that could significantly improve the Nigerian striker’s current earnings, making a potential move to the Gulf an attractive option.
Meanwhile, reigning Turkish champions Galatasaray SK are stepping up efforts to sign Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika from Club Brugge KV.
Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk is reportedly eager to reinforce his midfield ahead of next season’s UEFA Champions League campaign, with Onyedika identified as one of the club’s priority targets.
The Istanbul giants had an approach rejected during the January transfer window but are expected to return with an improved offer this summer.
Speculation over the midfielder’s future has intensified after reports emerged that the 25 year old turned down contract extension proposals from Club Brugge.
Onyedika enjoyed another impressive season in Belgium, contributing three goals and three assists in 40 appearances across all competitions while further strengthening his reputation as one of Nigeria’s most reliable midfielders.
The Super Eagles star also shone at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, helping Nigeria secure a bronze-medal finish.
A move to Galatasaray could potentially see Onyedika link up with compatriot Victor Osimhen, creating a strong Nigerian presence in the Turkish champions’ squad as they prepare for another domestic title challenge and a return to elite European football next season.
