Spotted in Confluence Queens jersey: Moses Bako speaks on 2026 NWFL Premiership Super Six
Women’s football advocate and passionate Confluence Queens supporter, Moses Nagogo Bako, has described the ongoing NWFL Premiership Super 6 2026 as the most competitive edition of the tournament so far.
Speaking while proudly wearing a Confluence Queens jersey, Bako noted that the quality and competitiveness of the participating teams have made the title race one of the most open in recent years.
“This Super 6 is the most competitive so far. All the teams seem to be on the same level and whoever eventually wins it will indeed be worthy champions,” he said.
Bako also reflected on the relegation of Confluence Queens, admitting that the warning signs were visible during the 2024/25 season but that the necessary corrective measures were not taken in time.
“On Confluence Queens' relegation, we saw it coming from the 2024/25 season and we failed to do the right thing to stop it,” he stated.
Despite the setback, the veteran football enthusiast remains optimistic about the club's future, expressing confidence that the Lokoja-based side will quickly bounce back to the elite division.
“But mark my words, we will spend only one season in the Championship and gain immediate promotion back to the Premiership.”
Bako further called on stakeholders, supporters, and management to remain united and committed to rebuilding the club, insisting that Confluence Queens possess the pedigree and potential to return stronger.
As the NWFL Super 6 enters its decisive stage, fans across the country continue to witness a fiercely contested battle for the championship, with every team still determined to leave its mark on the competition.
