Victor Osimhen pushes for immediate return as Galatasaray face crucial test

Victor Osimhen is eager to make an instant impact on his return from injury, as the striker has reportedly told Okan Buruk of his desire to start in Galatasaray’s upcoming clash against Genclerbirligi this Saturday.

The Nigerian forward has been out of action since sustaining an arm injury during last month’s UEFA Champions League encounter against Liverpool.

However, he took a significant step toward full recovery after rejoining full training on Wednesday, wearing a protective bandage on the affected arm.

Reports indicate that Osimhen held a private discussion with Buruk after the session, where he made it clear that he is ready and willing to lead the line despite the recent setback.

His determination comes at a critical time for Galatasaray, whose form has dipped in his absence.

The reigning champions have dropped valuable points in recent weeks, allowing fierce rivals Fenerbahce to close the gap to just two points as the Turkish Super Lig enters its decisive phase.

Saturday’s trip to Genclerbirligi presents another stern challenge, with the hosts fighting to avoid relegation and sitting just two points above the drop zone.

Osimhen’s potential return could therefore provide a timely boost for Galatasaray as they look to steady their title charge.
