Akintola begins fresh European chapter with Omonia Nicosia
Nigerian forward David Akintola has opened a new chapter in his European career after completing a move to Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia from Hull City on a free transfer.
The 30 year old attacker has signed a two year contract with the Cypriot outfit, a deal that will keep him at the club until 2028.
Akintola arrives at Omonia Nicosia with considerable experience gathered from his previous spells in both English and European football.
His versatility and attacking ability are expected to provide the club with an additional option in the final third as they strengthen their squad.
The Nigerian will now turn his attention to settling into his new environment and making an immediate impression at his latest European destination.
The switch to Cyprus represents another significant step in Akintola’s career, with the experienced forward aiming to use his experience to contribute goals, creativity and attacking intensity to Omonia Nicosia’s campaign.
