Besiktas await official bid for Wilfred Ndidi from Saudi Arabia
Beşiktaş Football Director Önder Özen has confirmed that Nigerian captain Wilfred Ndidi is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, but insisted that the Turkish giants are yet to receive any formal offer for the midfielder.
Speculation surrounding Ndidi's future gathered momentum after Turkish outlet Milliyet reported that Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad tabled a €10.5 million bid for the Nigerian international, with additional performance related bonuses potentially taking the package to €12.5 million.
Reacting to the reports, Özen clarified the club's position, stating: "There is interest from Saudi Arabia in Ndidi. However, no official written offer has yet arrived. If one comes, we will evaluate it."
Ndidi, who captains Nigeria's senior national team, enjoyed a productive debut campaign with Beşiktaş last season.
The combative midfielder featured in 31 matches across all competitions, contributing two goals.
In the Trendyol Super League, the 29 year old made 25 appearances, scoring twice and receiving five yellow cards as he played a key role in the Black Eagles' midfield setup.
With Saudi clubs continuing to monitor his situation, the coming weeks could prove decisive in determining whether Ndidi remains in Istanbul or embarks on a new chapter in the Middle East.
