Charles Agada fires brace as Orijent secure away win over Karlovac

Nigerian forward Charles Adah Agada delivered a match winning performance, scoring twice to inspire HNK Orijent to a 2-0 away victory over Karlovac 1919 in the Croatian SuperSport Prva NL on Saturday.

The former Mavlon FC of Lagos attacker was the standout performer at the Branko Čavlović-Čavlek Stadium, finding the net twice to hand Orijent all three points in the league encounter.

Orijent took a 1-0 lead into the half time break before Agada completed his brace in the 57th minute, doubling the visitors’ advantage and putting them in firm control of the contest.

Karlovac struggled to find a way back into the game as Orijent maintained their defensive discipline to preserve their two-goal cushion and secure an impressive victory on the road.

The result further highlights Agada’s growing importance to the Croatian side, having established himself as a regular member of the team on loan.

The Nigerian forward has featured in all eight of Orijent’s league matches this season, with his latest brace underlining his attacking quality as the club looks to build momentum in the campaign.
