Edo Queens thrash USFA to reach WAFU-B Women's Champions League final
Nigerian champions Edo Queens produced a dominant display on Wednesday, cruising to a 5-1 victory over Burkina Faso’s USFA in the semi-final of the 2026 WAFU-B Women’s Champions League qualifiers.
Edo Queens took control early when Atume Doosuur opened the scoring in the 17th minute before Esther Moses doubled their advantage just before half-time.
Valentina Uroko added a third in first-half stoppage time, sending the Nigerian side into the break with a commanding 3-0 lead.
Edo Queens continued their ruthless attacking display after the restart, with Dooshima Tarnum making it 4-0 in the 47th minute.
Aminat Folorunsho then completed the scoring for the Nigerian champions in the 63rd minute to put the result beyond doubt.
USFA managed a late consolation through Leslie Beremwidougou in the second minute of added time, but it was merely a consolation as Edo Queens sealed an emphatic 5-1 victory.
The comprehensive win sends Edo Queens into the final of the WAFU-B qualifiers, putting them one step away from securing a place at the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.
