For the Indiana Pacers in the last three months, losing a game means they'll come back to win the next one, and that goes in the NBA Finals too against the favourite side.

The Indiana Pacers retook the lead in the NBA finals defeating the Oklahoma City Thunders 116-107 in game three. Benedict Mathurin scored 27pointsoff the bench while Tyrese Haliburton finished with 22 points 11 assist and 9 rebounds. Pascal Siakam also added 21 for the Pacers.

The Pacers who lost the second game in Oklahoma City improved since mid-March in a game following a loss. After their victory against OKC, the Pacers coach Rick Carlisle, "this is the kind of team that we are. We need everybody to be ready It’s not always going to be exactly the same guys that are stepping up with scoring and stuff like that. But this is how we've got to do it.”

Despite good performances from Jalen Williams who scored 26 points, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 24 and Chet Holmgreen with 20 for the Thunders who led by 5 going into the fourth quarter, the Thunders fell short by 9 points.

The Pacers are in control now and according to history, in the 41 NBA finals that were tied at a game apiece, the Game three winner went on to lift the trophy 33 times.

Game four of the NBA finals will be back at Indianna on Friday Night.
