RFF unveils Stallion Sevens for 2025 Rugby Africa Men's Sevens in Mauritius
The Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) has officially announced its 12-man Stallions Sevens squad for the 2025 Rugby Africa Men’s Sevens, set for June 21–22 at Labourdonnais Sports Club in Mauritius.
Nigeria, placed in Pool B, will face South Africa, Burkina Faso, and Zambia in the group stages. Fixtures (WAT) for June 21 include:
* **7:06 AM** – Nigeria vs South Africa
* **9:28 AM** – Nigeria vs Burkina Faso
* **12:12 PM** – Nigeria vs Zambia
The tournament winner secures qualification for the 2025 World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series.
Head Coach Steve Lewis praised the squad’s development after an intense two-month preparation campaign across local and international 7s tournaments. He welcomed the return of Declan Nwachukwu and Kolade Adedoyin from injury and highlighted exciting new additions such as Joshua Addams, Isa Omale, Tuoyo Egodo, and Akeem Yusuf.
The final squad blends experience with youth, anchored by captain Kitto Oliver and veterans Frederick Henry-Ajudua and Oghenesuvwe Obano.
