Nigeria international striker Tolu Arokodare delivered an outstanding performance on Thursday night, scoring twice as Ajax recorded a commanding 6-1 away victory over FC Midtjylland in the UEFA Conference League.

Arokodare opened the scoring for the Dutch giants in the ninth minute before Friday Etim restored parity for the Danish hosts in the 28th minute.

The Nigerian striker struck again seven minutes after the restart to put Ajax back in front and complete his brace.

Ajax subsequently took control of the encounter, with Owen extending their lead in the 59th minute before Davy Klaassen added the fourth goal seven minutes later.

Oscar made it 5-1 in the 74th minute, while Marcos completed the emphatic victory with an 82nd-minute strike.

Arokodare’s two-goal display highlighted his attacking quality and played a key role in Ajax’s dominant European performance on the road.
