Kings Football Academy were crowned champions of the NBSL Women’s Beach Soccer Invitational Tournament after defeating RCCG Great Grace 3-0 in the final on Sunday in Kaduna.

Kings FA produced a commanding performance in the title decider to complete an impressive campaign and secure the championship without allowing their opponents to find the net.

RCCG Great Grace, who had earned their place in the final after a strong run through the competition, were unable to match the champions’ intensity as Kings FA took control of the decisive encounter.

The victory capped a memorable tournament for Kings FA and underlined their growing presence in the development of women’s beach soccer.

RCCG Great Grace had entered the final hoping to complete their campaign with the championship trophy after battling through the earlier stages of the invitational tournament.

However, Kings FA maintained their composure in the final and eventually secured a convincing 3-0 victory to lift the title.

One Agape FA completed the podium after producing an emphatic 6-0 victory over Powerful Queens FA in the third-place match.

The comprehensive win ensured One Agape FA finished the tournament with a bronze medal, while Powerful Queens FA ended their campaign in fourth position.

The women’s invitational tournament formed part of the wider activities surrounding the Nigeria Beach Soccer League’s Super Four programme in Kaduna.

The competition provided an additional platform for women’s teams to compete, gain valuable beach soccer experience and contribute to the continued growth of the women’s game.

Kings FA’s success will provide further encouragement for the development of women’s beach soccer, with the tournament showcasing the increasing interest and talent in the discipline.

The 3-0 final victory over RCCG Great Grace ultimately ensured Kings Football Academy finished at the top of the women’s invitational tournament, while One Agape FA’s 6-0 third-place triumph completed the final podium.
