Amarachi Odoma joins Simba Queens from Edo Queens

Tanzanian club Simba Queens have completed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Amarachi Odoma from NWFL side, Edo Queens.

Odoma was instrumental in Edo Queens historic 2023/24 campaign, playing a key role in their league title triumph. She also helped the Benin City-based side win the WAFU-B Champions League qualifiers and later featured as they secured a fourth-place finish at the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Her consistency at club level earned her a well-deserved debut for the Super Falcons of Nigeria, marking her rise as one of the promising midfielders on the continent.

Confirming her departure, Odoma penned an emotional farewell message on social media:

“It’s time to say goodbye to everyone at Edo Queens. I’m truly grateful for everything. I’ve made amazing memories here and gained so much experience. Big thanks to my teammates, coaches, fans, and everyone who has been part of my journey. Now it’s time to start a new chapter. I’ll always support the team and wish them the very best. Adaa Edo Queens! Always in my heart.”

With her blend of experience and ambition, Odoma is expected to provide much-needed depth for Simba Queens as they continue their quest for domestic dominance and continental glory.
