European club ready to pay €120m for Osimhen If Galatasaray approve talks — Terzi
Turkish journalist Burhan Can Terzi has claimed that an unnamed European club is prepared to make a staggering €120 million bid for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, but only if Galatasaray are willing to enter negotiations.
Osimhen has become one of the most sought-after forwards in European football following a remarkable season with the Turkish champions. The Super Eagles star scored 22 goals and provided eight assists in 33 appearances across all competitions, playing a crucial role in Galatasaray's successful defence of the Turkish Super Lig title.
His impressive form has attracted interest from several top clubs across Europe, with Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid all reportedly monitoring his situation.
Recent reports have suggested that Atletico Madrid are considering Osimhen as a potential replacement for Julian Alvarez amid growing speculation linking the Argentine forward with a move to Barcelona.
Amid the continuing transfer rumours, Terzi disclosed that Galatasaray officials have already been informed of a concrete interest from a European club willing to commit a record-breaking transfer fee for the Nigerian international.
According to the journalist, the unnamed club communicated its readiness to pay €120 million—approximately N187 billion—for the prolific striker. However, Galatasaray reportedly showed little enthusiasm towards the proposal, underlining their desire to retain one of their most influential players.
"A European club informed Galatasaray officials that they could pay a transfer fee of 120 million Euros for Osimhen," Terzi was quoted as saying by Habersarikirmizi.
"Galatasaray management did not give a positive response. If Galatasaray give the green light for negotiations, a formal offer will be made."
Galatasaray's reluctance to entertain offers highlights the club's determination to keep Osimhen ahead of the new campaign as they seek to build on their domestic success and make a stronger impact in European competitions.
With the transfer window still open and interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs continuing to grow, Osimhen's future is expected to remain one of the most closely watched stories of the summer.
