NYCN commends FCC Commissioner Peter Eze for transforming youth empowerment in Enugu
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Enugu State Chapter, has praised the Federal Commissioner representing Enugu State at the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Hon. Peter Ogbonna Eze, popularly known as Eze Mbanabo, for his outstanding contributions to youth empowerment and human capital development across the state.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Council, Comrade Barth Ebuka Okoh, JP, the youth body described Hon. Eze as a visionary leader whose tenure at the Federal Character Commission has opened unprecedented opportunities for young people in Enugu State.
According to the Council, numerous youths have secured federal employment through the Commission under Hon. Eze's leadership. It also noted that many others have benefited from overseas programmes, professional training, seminars, workshops, and other capacity-building initiatives designed to equip them with skills for personal and career advancement.
The NYCN said the interventions have positively transformed the lives of many young people by expanding their access to opportunities, restoring hope, and preparing a new generation of leaders capable of contributing meaningfully to the development of Enugu State and Nigeria.
The Council further observed that never before had Enugu youths benefited on such a remarkable scale through the office of the Federal Character Commission, describing Hon. Eze's achievements as a testament to purposeful, inclusive, and people-oriented leadership.
Commending his commitment to fairness and transparency, the Council stated that Hon. Eze has ensured equal access to opportunities, giving young people confidence that success can be achieved through merit rather than political connections or godfatherism.
"Hon. Peter Eze has given hope to countless young people by proving that one does not need a political godfather to access opportunities and excel. His accessibility, fairness, and unwavering commitment to empowering ordinary youths have earned him the admiration and gratitude of the people," the statement read.
On behalf of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Enugu State Chapter, and the youth population of the state, Comrade Okoh expressed profound appreciation to the Federal Commissioner for his selfless service, generosity, and unwavering dedication to the welfare and advancement of Enugu youths.
The Council also prayed for God's continued guidance and blessings upon Hon. Eze, asking for greater wisdom, strength, good health, and more opportunities for him to continue serving Enugu State and the nation with distinction.
