The Nigeria U-19 Women’s Basketball Team has officially departed Abuja for Brno, Czech Republic, where they will compete in the 2025 FIBA U-19 Women’s Basketball World Cup.

After weeks of intensive training at the MKO Abiola Stadium, the team is ready to take on the world, with their opening game scheduled against China on July 12.

Leading the team to the global stage is Head Coach Faustina Akhere Juliana, who will be supported on the sidelines by assistant coaches Nyingifa Atonye and Usuwa Chinedu Stone. The coaching crew, along with the Nigeria Basketball Federation, has carefully selected the final 12-player roster, confident in the squad’s potential to make a strong impression at the tournament.
