Wemimo Matthew, head coach of Remo Stars Ladies and a CAF instructor, proudly represents Nigeria at the CAF Women Instructors Development Workshop in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The event runs from May 5 to 9, 2025, and gathers top female football educators from across Africa. Participants receive practical training and attend expert-led sessions. The goal is to share best practices and support women in football leadership roles.

Wemimo, who previously served as an assistant coach for both the Super Falcons and Falconets, secured her spot at the event after a successful season in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership.

She led Remo Stars Ladies to their first-ever qualification for the Super Six, a significant achievement for a team in only their second year in the top division.

Her participation in the CAF workshop marks a new milestone in her coaching career. It highlights her dedication to her growth as a coach and her effort to promote women’s football in Nigeria.
