2026 World Cup Final to Feature Halftime Show for the First Time
FIFA president Gianni Infantino has announced that the 2026 men's World Cup final will include a halftime show for the first time in the tournament's history.
The historic final will be held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, home to the NFL's New York Giants and New York Jets. The 2026 edition of the World Cup, jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will take place from June 11 to July 19, featuring an expanded format of 48 teams and 104 matches, up from the previous 64 games.
FIFA will collaborate with Global Citizen, an international education and advocacy organization, alongside British band Coldplay to deliver the groundbreaking halftime show.
Coldplay, known for their electrifying performance at the 2016 Super Bowl halftime show with guest appearances by Beyoncé and Bruno Mars, will bring their signature style to the global football spectacle.
