Chiamaka Nnadozie nominated for 2025 FIFA The Best Goalkeeper award

Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been shortlisted for The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper 2025 Award, capping off a remarkable year for both club and country.

Nnadozie’s 2024/25 season was one to remember. The 23-year-old shot-stopper played a pivotal role in Paris FC’s stunning Coupe de France Féminine triumph, where she kept a clean sheet and saved two penalties in the shootout to deny rivals Paris Saint-Germain Féminine. Her consistency also guided Paris FC to the French league playoffs, cementing her reputation as one of the finest goalkeepers in Europe.

On the international scene, Nnadozie was equally outstanding as she helped the Super Falcons reclaim the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in Rabat, Morocco. She recorded four clean sheets in six matches, conceding just twice, both goals coming in the final against hosts Morocco. Her brilliance earned her the Golden Glove as the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper.

Her impressive form throughout the year has already earned her multiple recognitions. Nnadozie finished fourth in the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy at the Ballon d’Or and has also been nominated for CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year at the upcoming CAF Awards.

She now joins a star-studded list of contenders for FIFA’s top goalkeeping honour, including Ann-Katrin Berger (Germany), Cata Coll (Spain), Christiane Endler (Chile), Hannah Hampton (England), Anna Moorhouse (England), and Phallon Tullis-Joyce (USA).
