Egypt, Tunisia Clubs Outclass Nigerians as Day 3 Heats Up at African Women’s Volleyball Championship

Nigerian clubs faced stiff opposition on Day 3 of the 2025 African Women’s Volleyball Club Championship, suffering straight-set losses to powerhouse teams from Tunisia and Egypt.
Nigeria Customs Service, currently 2nd in Pool A, were outplayed by Tunisia’s top-ranked Club Féminin de Carthage, who claimed a dominant 3-0 win (25-18, 25-19, 25-13) to stay first in the group.
The other Nigerian side, Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Spikers, now 3rd in Pool B, fell 0-3 to Egypt’s Zamalek Sporting Club, the group leaders, who continued their unbeaten streak with a polished display (25-14, 25-20, 25-16).
Earlier in the day, Maya Kani Evolution of Cameroon edged APR of Rwanda 3-1 (19-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-19) in a Pool A clash, with MKE now 4th in the group and APR in 3rd.
In Pool B, Kenya Prisons, currently 2nd, secured their first win with a powerful 3-0 sweep over Spiking Stars Volleyball Club of Botswana, who sit 4th (25-9, 25-15, 25-16).
Pool D action saw Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) extend their unbeaten run, defeating Litto Team Volleyball in four sets (25-20, 25-18, 23-25, 25-21). KPC lead Pool D, while LTV are placed 2nd.
